Rumor has it that 40% of the stoves in The Villages could be sold for new, which is a “Good Thing” as far as restaurant owners are concerned. However,
since so many Villagers eat out regularly, it is important that we make a special effort to
simplify the choices. Choosing a Restaurant
need not be difficult especially since you can find local eateries listed by
“Type of Fare”, Name, and Location under Dining Content on the right side of this page.
Just click on List of Restaurants, and then pick the type of restaurant you favor from the drop down box at the top of that list and then hit submit. You will note that there is a section on this page which features Articles about the many restaurants, including FAQ (frequently asked questions)
Your comments are welcome and may easily be entered by just clicking on “Contact Us” at the right. It will be helpful to all of us if you post your thoughts and observations regarding a dining experience. If you feel a need to comment on poor service or quality of food, this is the place; however, please be just as quick to tell us if you find an eatery providing that special service we look for in so many of our restaurants. You may also enter an article about any eating experience by the use of the same (Contact Us) form.
You will also find a link to the
Villages Gourmet Club here for your convenience.
This award goes to Bravo Pizza in Sumter Landing! Ww wanted to note that we tried it twice this visit to the villages. The last two pizzas from Bravos were not not even close to what I remember only three years ago when I first patronized the restaurant. Now the sauce tastes sweet, like sugar is added, the crust was like cardboard and pretty much tastless, the skimpy topping of pepperoni was sliced paper thin and did not have a good taste either. The cost of the product in no way is warranted. Very, very disappointing. Bravo is convenient, but not worth it at all. We will try another place for our pizza, probably outside the villages. I have a feeling that quality was cut for profit or possibly the fees paid to the villages compell some businesses to cut quality to remain in business. We will not be patronizing Bravo any longer and we wanted to tell others not to waste their money.
Although the name suggests that it is just for tea and cake, the food and service at The Tea Plantation Restaurant are both outstanding. And, believe me, even though the place looks like it's just for the ladies, they offer some wonderful hearty meals.
The staff is very friendly too, prices are reasonable. It is so good that I am to dine there with my family for New Year's Eve.
They also have a beautiful floral boutique which is worth taking the time to check out.
Call them and ask about their Murder Mystery tea parties. My friend recently attended with the Red Hatters group and said it was great fun!
It's on Canal Street on Sumter Landing in The Villages. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed. The Tea Plantation is a hidden gem.
I was introduced to this restaurant by my salesperson. It was probably the best thing she did for me. The food is great, and the staff could not be better. Of late, the prices have increased, but the value remains the same. The steak Gorganzola is one of the best I have ever had. KUDOS to the staff of the kitchen, as well as to the servers.

Billy's has been here as long as I've lived in The Villages. The only bad thing I can think of is that they give you too much food. A good place to go when you're hungry. Or when those bottomless stomach grandchildren visit.
